50 Shades of Grub?

50 Shades of Grub?

Given that I am a foodie, living in the food-loving Singapore, it is about time that I create a mixed media abstract series all about food. Not only do I love eating, I also love cooking it – which makes translating the sights, sounds, and sensations of food into colour and texture doubly fun.  Each painting is a synesthetic experience—where taste becomes colour, and aroma turns into movement. Making paintings that hum with onomatopoeic energy: sizzle, crackle, slurp, crunch; adds another layer of complexity and richness. These sounds are not just heard in my mind—they are seen in colour, texture, form, ,movement, splashes and strokes. Imagine away!

50 Shades of Grub sounds enticing no? Let’s see how many I get to.

Tell me now, what food should I depict next?
