Back To Back Recognition
The first time I participated in UOB Painting of the Year was in 2024, and I was thrilled to be shortlisted as an emerging abstract artist.
This year, 2025, I hesitated—I am not naturally competitive. But I knew that if I entered again, it had to be a learning experience in my art practice. I pushed myself further, embraced bigger risks, and explored new ideas in abstract painting.
It paid off. I have been shortlisted again for UOB Painting of the Year in the Emerging Artist category. Two out of two—back-to-back recognition. This affirmation encourages me that my artistic journey is on the right track.
I have also learned that authenticity is essential to good art—staying true to your voice and vision is what resonates most deeply with collectors, viewers, and the art community.
I am deeply grateful for the gift of creativity which God has blessed me with. I hope to continue using it inspire others and to glorify Him
