Why Do I Create?

Why Do I Create?

Because it is endlessly fun?
Yes.

There is a thrill in play — in colours singing, forms dancing, and textures surprising. Art allows me to lose myself in the moment and to come alive again.

Because when I have no words left, my art speaks for me.
Yes.

In times of grief, confusion, or wonder too deep for language, the canvas becomes my voice. Paint becomes prayer. Marks become memory. Creation becomes communion.

Because I am made in the image and likeness of God the Creator (Genesis 1:26).
Yes, and amen.

It is how I am wired. It is in my very DNA. I am created to create — not for praise or perfection, but because it is part of my being.

In creating, I remember who I am and whose I am.
